Background
Hardys has been making wines in Australia since the early 1900s, and have named this smooth, affordable port after one of the more beloved characters from the vineyard’s early days: Whiskers Blake. Mr. Blake’s job was to keep birds from eating the grapes before they were ready to be harvested, and as part of his payment, he would liberate a few bottles of port wine from the Hardy family.
This Port
Has all the classic features of a good, fortified wine: smooth drinking, with heaps of fruit, chocolate, and coffee.
