Etchart
Etchart is one of Argentina’s most prestigious wine producers, and this wine is made with the only native Argentinian grape known today. Arnaldo V. Etchart is the owner and founder of this winery, and has stamped his passion for quality on all of his wines. This wine offers outstanding value for the money, and could very well be the best bottle of white wine you’ll ever have for this price.
The wine is almost like an aromatic wine from Alsace, with lots of citrus flavours, and a decidedly floral nose, which grows more detectable as the wine approaches room temperature. In contrast to many aromatic wines, Etchart’s Torrontes has a surprising amount of body to offset its subtle flavours. It will pair extremely well with any spicy foods, including spicy chicken dishes, or if serving flavourful pasta dishes to folks who just don’t like red wine.
Try this wine in a Riedel O Viognier/ Chardonnay glass with ripe Brie and cream cheeses as an appetizer.
