About Greg Norman Estates
As a recognizable figure throughout the world, Greg Norman is known not only as a hall of fame golfer, but also as a man with a passion for adventure, a bold presence in the business world, and an unquenchable zeal for the finer things in life.
With such a strong profile and demanding standards, Greg did not want to rush into a wine venture half-heartedly. In fact, Greg Norman Estates was a vision more than five years in the making. As Greg puts it, "Fine wine is one of my greatest passions, and Australian wine in particular, but making great wine takes planning, talented people and plenty of time."
Founded in 1998, Greg's vision became reality with the release of his first wine, a Cabernet Merlot blend from the Limestone Coast. That wine went on to earn a 91 point rating from Wine Spectator and be named to that publication's list of the 100 best wines of 1999. Since then, all of Greg's wines have been awarded hundreds of honors and accolades from critics far and wide. One expert was even prompted to say, "It's the wine's quality, not the celebrity name on its label that has wine lovers going back for more."
Today, Greg's involvement still goes way beyond his name on the label. As General Manager, he oversees the direction of the brand and pays particularly close attention to quality assurance. In addition, he also works as an ambassador of goodwill, not only for Greg Norman Estates, but also for Australian wine in general.
