| "A blend of Dry Creek, Russian River, Alexander Valley and Knights Valley fruit, with a little Paso Robles thrown in for good measure, it’s classic Zin, dry, fruity and peppery." WE |
| Drink now through 2008. |
The name is taken from the original ranch in the Dry Creek Valley area of California, when it was first settled by Spanish explorers. Today, this micro-climate provides the perfect conditions for making zinfandel wines: a long, warm growing season, with just the right amount of rain. When drinking it, note its ruby colour, and then go on to watch for flavours of black fruit, pepper, and spice, all competing with its luscious, fruity backbone. If you serve this wine with food, make sure the meal is full-flavoured, like wild meat (bison or boar), or spicy barbecued beef.
Try this wine in a Riedel Vinum Chianti glass.
